Ship Welding Repair near Tampa, FL

Boats are a big responsibility. But let's be honest, owners don't buy them for that reason. We invest in them for the enjoyment on the open water, maybe fishing or even water sports. A hull crack or tear in a rudder can be enough to turn a reliable ship into a dangerous problem. You can’t wait for these problems to solve themselves. If your ship has a problem, call us. You don’t need scuba divers to patch up an underwater leak. We can work on repairs or light modifications to sailboats, power boats, fishing boats, catamarans, houseboats, and nearly anything else you've got. If it's metal and can be placed in a safe, dry location for work, we can likely get our rig to it. Saltwater does a number on aluminum. It can begin to react with the aluminum over extended periods of time, creating a white dust as the aluminum tries to resist corrosion. Once this aluminum oxide forms, we are not able to weld on the product. Not only is it very messy, but it becomes extremely tricky to get welds that will not fall victim to the same kind of corrosion. We're happy to examine larger boat repairs but we really enjoy work that involves building sea stairs, t-tops, leaning posts and other accessories that increase the usefulness and beauty of your boat.

If you do experience a crack or hole that needs repair, give us a call to discuss the details. For us to work, we prefer the boat to be on dry land. Underwater welding equipment is not at all the same as our welding equipment. Most boats are made of aluminum, a material easier to work with than it is to break. For aluminum boat welding, we need enough space for our mobile setup to be executed.

For items that don't involve the hull, we'd want to take a look or receive plans or photos for metal fabrication work. This could include metal fixtures like railings, ladders, ornaments or accessories that have been dismounted or need proper fixing to the body. Welding fabrication from scratch is also an option too if you are looking for something unique or have seen something you like on another craft. Underwater instruments like the rudder can also be fixed to give the power back to your steering.

There are more boat owners, private and commercial, in Florida than any other state on the east coast. As contractors we specialize in the process of welding and creating like-new seals and repairs to keep any kind of vehicle running or offer an improvement. We are not a boat yard, but we sometimes repair and fix cracks in ships from simple collisions. Just one little bump at sea can be enough to put you out of service. A small fix could be all that stands between you and the bottom of the bay.

Let us help with custom marine fabrication on your boat. Steel stairwells, grab rails or custom ladders can be worked on to help your vessel become more useful. Sometimes, for non-custom options, these items can be ordered online. We cater to the clients who have a special need or want something that is not standard for their personal needs. We can help with all kinds of marine repairs and additions. One small boat crack can ruin a season but it doesn't have to. Let us know the problem by size - send pictures or references - or check out our fabrication service to learn what we can create for your boat to make it stand out in the harbor according to your design! Tampa t-tops are an obvious option that many owners like to add or customize but your imagination doesn't need to stop there.

We encourage our customers to look around and consider more than one option. However, be weary if the price sounds too good to be true. Shoddy work at rock bottom prices can lead to even more repairs. Add-ons that are created and supplied by us will water the storms well with your boat. Once we understand your project thoroughly, we’ll break down our quote point for point to make sure you get the best value for your service and the fix that you've looking for. A safe boat is always worth it! Leave the welding jobs to us so you can focus on where to take your boat the next time you head out.
